LNVB welcomes a new director to the helm for the upcoming 2008-2009 season. Steve Iannarino is no stranger to the club or to sports world, and we are excited for his direction to lead and grow the organization.
Below is a brief bio on our new director:
As a college student/athlete Steve excelled in basketball at Wittenberg University where he still holds the career scoring record with 1973 points. Following college, Steve moved here 20 years ago from Ohio after accepting a job with the then expansion Charlotte Hornets and has been involved in Sports/Event Management ever since. While with the Hornets he held positions in Sales and Marketing, Event Management, Camp Director, as well as Director of Youth Programs.
After leaving the Hornets in 1995, he coached Bishop McGinness High School boys Varsity basketball where his teams achieved a record of 38-21 and advanced to the State Final Four. On accepting the LNVB position: "I have been impressed with the commitment and work ethic of all who have been involved with the Club. I look forward to building on the strong foundation that's in place. I'm excited to continue to provide and improve all the resources necessary to have our young athletes achieve their potential. I'm excited to get started."
Currently he and his wife, Darla Kay, own StadiumClean, an event facility cleaning provider and live in Huntersville with their daughters Carly (16), Lucy (11) and Grace (7).
