Lake Norman Volleyball Club has partnered with the Parisi School. In this partnership, LNVB athletes will be able to attend their normal club practices and participate in one-hour speed training sessions with Champions trainers on their off days. The speed training opportunities will be conducted each Saturday morning as well as after school sessions during the week.
The speed, agility, and strength training will feature the proven Parisi Speed Training along with input from LNVB staff to adapt the exercises to volleyball-specific movements. The program will last from November thru January until the LNVB Club tournament season begins and will provide approximately 18-22 workout opportunities.
This Saturday, prospective players will be able to go through an initial workout with the trainers so they can fully understand the benefits of training with the Parisi School. This program is not mandatory, however, the skills that players will obtain through this program will directly translate to the volleyball court and impact their potential for growth. Although our teams have yet to be chosen, we are asking all to consider this fantastic opportunity by attending this session to learn more information.
October 19, 2011:
For Immediate Release: Lake Norman Volleyball Club (LNVB) announces strategic alliance with Champions Gym, home of the Parisi Speed training school.
In this partnership, LNVB athletes will be able to attend their normal club practices and participate in one-hour speed training sessions with Champions trainers on their off days. The speed training opportunities will be conducted each Saturday morning as well as after school sessions during the week.
LNVB 14 Black Coach Vicky Worthy said, “This is the ideal scenario for both the coaches and the athletes. We covet the practice time we have with the players and this allows the coaches to focus on developing their volleyball skills. At the same time, we understand the importance of the players becoming quicker and stronger so we think this is the perfect fit!”
“Many of the players have not had conditioning or resistance training at all. This will jump start their physical development as they begin to train more seriously.” Added LNVB 13 Red Coach Mike Perkins.

September, 2011:
LNVB is ready to get the 2011-2012 season underway. We have worked hard in this offseason to add a couple new features for this coming season.
We are pleased to offer strength and conditioning workouts one night a week:
Starting after teams form in November, LNVB will open their doors one night a week for conditioning and strength training. Coaches across the age groups will bring their expertise to help our athletes get higher, stronger, and faster during the season. These will be required workouts for Black teams, but beneficial and open to all teams.
We are also excited to have Jenn Knight and Mike Perkins, two new coaches, to join our coaching staff this year. Jenn worked alongside the 15 Red team last season and is anxious to start her coaching career with LNVB. Mike is the head volleyball coach at CSD in Davidson and brings his passion for the game to our 13s team this year.
With these new additions, and our already succesful coaching staff, we are sure to have a great season. Please read more about our coaches on our Coaches page.
